The James L. Taylor Company is introducing the Cameron Automation Quick-Match, a general purpose color sorting/matching machine using machine vision technology.

The Quick-Match consists of a color chamber that mounts above an existing conveyor, a computer that processes images and controls the process, and an inkjet printer that labels each board with a color category.

Smart Stacks reduce labor by stacking random or fixed width material neatly into stacks of product. The Smart Stack is available in three models: the Smart Stack, the Smart Stack Jr., and the Smart Stack Sizer. Smart Stacks can be fed manually or automatically. Software can monitor single or multiple Smart Stack machines, automatically tally square feet and board feet, and provide identifying product labels. Smart Stacks are perfect for many plant operations such as tailing a Double End Tennoner, a Wide Belt Sander, Automated Chop Line, or even a Straight Line Rip Saw. The Smart Stack Sizer will size panels for gluing operations within 1/8" of the desired size, eliminating the need for manual panel size selection while gaining higher yields from random width stock. Smart Stacks will eliminate the arduous job of stacking and tallying material in a rough mill operation.
